Modern ear candy for your home, high-end speakers for music lovers revealed

December 9, 2013

SMART Group that provides end-to-end suite of cost effective home automation solutions under its Smart Automation, presents The Project Everest DD66000, premium loudspeaker system from JBL Synthesis – for the new generation of music lovers in India.

The luxury product does not merely reassert JBL’s technological leadership, design aesthetic and manufacturing process for music lovers, but also embodies passion for the music. It is quite simply the most exquisite musical instrument, delivering the highest level of musical fidelity.

The premium audio system excels in every sonic respect, with authoritative bass, a pure, detailed midrange and open, extended high-frequency response beyond 50kHz. It combines the superlative dynamic range, transient response, and ‘effortless’ quality of horn-loaded compression drivers with the precise imaging, three-dimensional soundstage. It delivers remarkably natural vocal and instrumental reproduction, and faithfully reproduces the sonic environment present on the original recording.

Everest incorporates a host of innovative loudspeaker technologies. The leading-edge transducers operate in conjunction with Bi-Radial® horns that are made from dense and inert SonoGlass material, eliminating unwanted sonic colorations. The horns are shaped to provide optimum dispersion in the horizontal and vertical planes, for smooth frequency response and precise imaging.

The 1501AL 380mm (15″) woofer utilizes an Aquaplas-treated-pulp cone that preserves sonic neutrality while damping internal resonances and providing controlled and articulate bass response. The crossover network is designed to allow the woofers to operate in different frequency ranges, a configuration that provides optimum directivity and high output.

The JBL Project Everest DD66000 is the most ambitious loudspeaker in the history of JBL and that is saying something considering the company’s long lineage of research and development. The DD66000, ranging in price from Rs. 99,00,000 to Rs. 1,00,00,000 a pair depending on finish, is an all-out no-holds-barred design that incorporates JBL compression driver technologies and other high-end attributes to deliver sound quality that is nothing less than extraordinary.

The system is available in a selection of wood finishes including rosewood, cherry and ebony with gray removable grille cloths, and maple with a light gray grille cloth. The JBL Project Everest DD66000 is built to the highest standards, utilizing premium internal components. The medium-gray, horizontal high-frequency horn, black UHF horn and black front-panel control cover plate add minimalist yet striking visual accents.

The JBL Project Everest DD66000 is one of those loudspeakers whose musical totality defies its constituent parts or individual sonic attributes, and that makes you forget about horns and cabinets and wires and capacitors, to deliver a listening experience that is totally involving and emotionally captivating.
